Flash Work
Days: 1 – 4 depending on course content and level of participants

A good understanding of flash can change your photography forever by opening up photographic opportunities that you may not otherwise have. I have previously discussed this on my blog.
Flash can be a hard subject to understand, but it's well worth the effort. Depending on your needs I can address many aspects of flash photography:
- Understanding light — colour temperature, direction, contrast, the difference between hard and soft light and the importance of all these things in the creation of an image.
- Understanding flash and flash techniques — learn how flash works and why the X-sync speed is so important. Learn how and why to “drag” the shutter.
- Studio flash work (all manual flash, from one flash to several).
- On location flash work — using portable studio strobes.
- Canon Speedlites for ultra-portable on-location work. Here we work in manual mode or in ETTL mode with up to three groups of flashes.
- Combining Canon Speedlights with studio flash using the new ControlTL technology from PocketWizard.
As with all my workshops nothing it set in stone. If you have any particular requirements then please contact me.
